Anthony was an incredible realtor to work with, especially as I was buying my first home. From the very beginning, he walked me through the process with so much patience, knowledge, and care. As a first-time homebuyer, there were a lot of moments where I had questions or needed guidance, and Anthony always made me feel supported and confident in each step. We worked with Max Maxguleas to find a rental about a year after the Palisades 2025 fires, when inventory in the Palisades was extremely limited. We had been renting in West Hollywood but really wanted to move back to the Palisades, and it felt almost impossible with so few houses available. Max was very knowledgeable about the market and responsive. He consistently emailed us new listings, moved quickly to get us into properties and always responded the same day. He ultimately found us a fantastic rental on a quiet street that was perfect for the 7 of us. Max genuinely had our best interests at heart and supported us through every step of the process. I'm 92 years old and over the years Ive bought, sold and rented a number of houses and apartments in London, New York, Connecticut and Los Angeles. Ive dealt with many real estate agents during that time and have up til now not been motivated to write a glowing review of what they accomplished for me. When my wife for 63 years died last July I found myself alone in a 3000 square foot condo stuffed with memories and loneliness. I couldnt continue living there. We entered this transaction without our own realtor and were told the agents would be handling both sides. Throughout the process, however, we felt we were not represented in a balanced way and that the agents were primarily advocating for the buyer. During active negotiations, the realtor chose to tell us there was another interested party willing to offer more money. We felt the timing of raising that information aEUR" right in the middle of negotiations aEUR" created unnecessary pressure and made the process feel adversarial. On another occasion, the realtor attempted to get us to sign a document we had already clearly declined to sign after consulting with our attorneys. We were told that if we did not sign it, escrow might not close. That ultimately proved to be wrong, as escrow did close without it, but at the time we felt pressured and unsettled. Escrow closed because we made the decision to hire two separate attorneys to protect our interests and ensure the transaction moved forward on time aEUR" something we did not anticipate needing to do. We were also sent a very large volume of documents with little explanation or guidance. We would have appreciated clearer communication and more support throughout the process. While the sale closed, we left feeling unsupported and disappointed in the overall experience.

Anthony and his team were amazing! After losing my home in the Palisades Fire, I finally decided to sell our lot. Anthony advised me on pricing, etc. and the listing went up. I think it was only 2 days later that I got an offer $100K over asking! I accepted and escrow closed less than two weeks later. I interviewed three local realtors, and I am very happy I chose Amalfi Estates to list my family home. Anthony and his team were always polite, professional and quick to respond to my call, texts and emails. Everything Anthony suggested I do to prepare the house for sale was spot on! He connected me with a company that did the painting, flooring and all of the subcontracting work that was needed. Once the house was ready, the staging company Anthony suggested filled the house with beautiful furnishings that appealed to everyone. Theresa and I moved back to the US from London during April/23. Our primary residence is in Florida and we were looking for a secondary property in the LA area. We first came into contact with Max Marguleas in June/23. Max showed great initiative in establishing a relationship with us and then took the time to ask many questions to understand exactly what we were looking for - this is an essential trait to ensure the process works as smoothly as possible. We found Max to be extremely conscientious, hard-working and knowledgeable. Max was very easy to work with and was always very responsive to our many questions and enquiries. From June/23 to Feb/24, it was a very unusual real estate market, as inventory levels were at all-time lows. Through this time, Max was diligent and patient; we never felt pressured to make a rushed decision and always felt fully briefed on market conditions.
