I had a great experience working with Ben Strock and his team. I chose them based on their reputation and wasnt disappointed. We came up with a fair market price then his team dug in and got my property into market-ready condition. We found some surprises as always, but worked through them and only missed our market date by about a day. I appreciated having a local manager (Christina) with a team of contractors that I could trust especially since I am an out of state and have been an absent landlord for a number of years. Ben Strock and his team did an amazing job for us. First they helped us negotiate to buy a great house. They coordinated inspections and got an electrician out so we could determine the real condition of the house. Once we entered escrow, our focus shifted to our house, which we needed to sell. We were in a unique situation called a Reverse 1031 where we entered into escrow on another property before we sold our rental property. This was a major reason why we sought out Strock EXP Realty. Ben talked us through both of the 1031 processes and was able to introduce us to a 1031 service that guided us effortlessly through what could have been a very stressful transaction. As for our home readying it for sale after 20 years of family enjoyment, Ben and Tarra recommended various improvements to get it ready for market. They were very patient and responsive to all our questions and concerns. We must say, Tarra is a Superwoman and Bens Secret Weapon. Once we let go and committed to the process, she resourced all of the contractors, materials required, arranged their complimentary Staging they offer as part of their service and kept them on a very tight schedule. Everything worked out exactly as Ben and Tarra predicted. Our house was prepped on time and under budget. The staging was amazing. The house and the staging looked so good after they finished that we almost wanted to keep it! Their aEURoecoming soonaEUR? announcement generated a lot of interest, and we received an offer before the house was listed! Bens contacts in the Real Estate community is another reason we chose his Company. We have never met a Broker so dedicated, respected and connected. We received a great offer the first day the house was on the market, and went aEURoependingaEUR?! It was exciting and a relief for us! Ben and Tarra handled the few questions that came up during escrow plus periodically checked in just to see how we were feeling during the process. We closed on time on the date that Ben had projected and his and Tarras communication was steady from start to close! What really impressed us about the Strock Team was their patience. We had actually interviewed them a year before about potentially selling our house. Ben and Tarra came out to look at our house and they spent an hour listening to us in order to understand our goals. We ended up deciding not to sell at that time, but they gave us some great advice and options for how to proceed. It was a comfortable and informative conversation that really left a clear impression. We never had a doubt that from that first meeting, we would only sign with Strock EXP Realty when the time came. Everything fell into place, and it was enjoyable journey! My wife and I have bought and sold 17 houses over the years in CA, MX and AZ. After having a less than stellar experience with our first home buying experience we took a very long time to interview real estate team leads across the county to sell our home. We first noticed Ben based on his phenomenal listing marketing on Zillow/redfin , and also noticed many sellers that had unsuccessful MLS listings would choose & were successful the second round with Bens team. Most of the homes he was listing would go in contract fairly quickly. Ben volunteered a lot of recommended improvements to our home, the most out of any agents we spoke to, without us signing a listing agreement. He knew we were trying to recoup our funds, and he sold our home in an unconventional way that worked for us. We took on a lot of the improvements ourselves but were glad to use his contractors when needed who did amazing work. His flexibility, well connected network, kindness and mentorship has been priceless. We cannot recommend him enough. Every single one of his staff was very professional and transparent about the selling process. I endured unexpected health issues during the selling process and Ben helped immensely in lowering the stress of listing the home and coached me through the difficult times with his contagious positivity! This summer, Rose helped me purchase a new home and sell my old home shortly thereafter. There was never a question of who I would ask for assistance with these two transactions, as Rose found my "old home" for me six years ago too! Buying and selling a house in short succession was very intense! However, Rose made both transactions easy with her attention to detail, and her calm and professional demeanor. There were so many details to keep track of, but I didn't have to worry about anything, as she handled everything. Rose and her husband even did some work on the house I sold and didn't charge me. Being a first time buyer is scary. You hear all the horror stories from friends and family about the pain and stress involved in finding a home and then going through the loan process, but we seriously lucked out with Daniel Fitch. Talk about someone who really works for you and does whatever it takes to find you the right home without pressure or wasting your time. We knew a year in advance that we would be relocating to Monterey County (Salinas area) and met Daniel at an open house. While we had previously spoken with a realtor, that person was not motivated to work with us as it was not going to be profitable in the near future for her. Daniel continued to keep in touch and check in from time to time and once we were ready, he went straight to work. It was a great pleasure working with him EVERY step of the way and he never dropped the ball on any issue or detail that needed to be addressed. I'm so happy we used Matt in buying our first home. Not only did he negotiate for a great deal on our house, Matt also patiently walked us through escrow. I can't recommend Matt enough. After we searched for weeks, Matt and I found the house that was perfect for me. When the listing agent said that the house had already accepted an offer, Matt encouraged me to make an offer nonetheless. Our offer was accepted just a few days later! When we encountered road blocks in escrow, Matt calmly explained what the issues were and what we could do to solve them. As a first time home buyer, this was incredibly helpful. Matt is the man you want, plain and simple. I relocated to the Bay Area from the East Coast and needed a real estate agent that was familiar with VA loans. I also needed someone that could remove the stigma from VA loans and help me be competitive in the Bay Area market. I was working with an agent previously with little success and sought out a new agent as a result. Thats when I was recommended Matt and Kimmel Real Estate Group. He helped draft an incredibly competitive offer that was accepted under asking and without any back and forth! Throughout the process Matthew was incredibly communicative and worked tirelessly to keep everything moving forward; at one point we were texting and sending paperwork back and forth while he was flying back to California. He visited many different properties for us and painted a clear picture of what to expect in each price range. He's local to the area and was able to provide plenty of insight into each of the properties since we were buying virtually. My wife Camille and I offer our highest praise to Spencer Hays and Ben Strock of Strock Realty. It had long been our dream to move from the East Bay to Santa Cruz and live near the ocean. We met Spencer and Ben and had been working with them for a few years looking for the right opportunity. Over that time, they were always at the ready to answer questions and show us properties. In summer 2022, we found the perfect property but getting the deal together was a high-wire act between the sale of our East Bay home, rising interest rates, and negotiating the price on the Santa Cruz home. Spencer spent many days (and nights), and even time on his vacation, helping us navigate both deals. He left no stone unturned and used his considerable expertise to close the deals for us. We can't say enough good things about Spencer! In early 2020 we were exploring the market to see if we could buy in a neighborhood that we liked better than our current one, and happened to meet Spencer at an open house. We ended up really clicking with him and appreciated his realness and openness and sense of humor as well as his obvious very strong knowledge of the greater Santa Cruz area market. We called on Spencer when we found a home that looked like it could work. His insight was very helpful and although we ended up not purchasing the first place, we kept him in mind. Fast forward and Spencer helped us find a home (that had two separated office areas that we critically needed) in an absolute dream area during a pandemic. The Strock Real Estate team enabled us to quickly and effectively sale our home. The team provided us "one stop, ~all-inclusive service". This included providing valued advisement for preparing the home for the purpose of marketing. The team sourced and managed the contractors that incorporated new flooring, carpets, and painting throughout the interior along with painting the exterior trim. The Strock team also did a great job staging the home, both the interior and exterior. The team's posted photos and video were excellent, capturing the essence of living in the Aptos Hills and enjoying panoramic sunset views of the Nisene Marks State Park located immediately behind the home. I ~jokingly indicated that after the Strock team updates for the home, I found myself reconsidering our move to Hawaii ??. But the home sold within ~week after going on the market, with the new owner making us a "can't refuse offer". While in the process of completing the sale Ben Strock introduced us to their EXP partners in Hawaii, which provided great support enabling us to make a successful bid for purchasing our Hawaii home at the same time that we closed escrow on our CA home. Gabrielle is a true professional. From the start she was easy to work with, promptly responded to all calls and texts, and listened to what our needs were in pursuit of finding us our first home. She also connected us with an amazing loan broker and stayed in constant communication with everybody involved to ensure there were no surprises with our loan approval. She kept us disciplined and on track by following up on our "to do list". When we found the right home for us in this impossible, highly competitive market, there were already multiple offers on the table. The seller's agent was not a local realtor, and no personal connections could weigh in on the outcome here. Ben Strock was the most caring, creative and professional broker I have ever met. We watched many real estate videos and interviewed at least 7 brokers before choosing Ben. BTW, his team makes the best Real Estate videos anywhere on Youtube! When we initially interviewed him at our beach house in Santa Cruz, he brought all his key team members (not just other Realtors from his office). No other Realtor had this "integrated team approach" advantage. It was amazing to work with a professional team that all had and were allowed to provide good inputs and suggestions and handled so much of the process smoothly. Ben staged the home at his cost, made several video versions for our property (very professional and entertaining) handled all the details, found a buyer in about a month and aced the negotiations. L.J is the real deal! We found out about L.J. After he sold a house in our neighborhood . He came highly recommended by them as he had sold their house for well over asking. He is quite knowledgeable about the real estate market and especially the Westside. He was a joy to work with along with his partner Sarah. Spencer helped my fiance and I find an amazing place in the Lompico area of Felton, in the Santa Cruz Mountains.
