We were looking to buy in San Marcos and linked up with Cavin Quintanilla after two failed attempts on our own to find a house we liked. In advance of day 1 of our site visits, Cavin had already pinpointed our needs and preferences and identified 3 properties we would be interested in purchasing. The very first property he showed us we loved, which he had already anticipated, and which we wound up closing on. Cavin was excellent at every stage of the purchasing process, from sourcing to diligence, client management, negotiations, and closing. Couldn't recommend a better agent. Top notch. We had a very disappointing experience with Rachel from Cory Home Team, who was assigned to us through Zillow as our buyers agent. Throughout the entire process, her communication was poor and unreliable. We often had to follow up multiple times to get answers, and when we did get a response, it was frequently delayed or vague. Important questions were ignored for days, and there were repeated mistakes like booking the moving truck for the wrong dateaEUR"even after we had confirmed it with her well in advance, or her text messages often "not going through". She was reactive instead of proactive, often only reaching out when she needed our signatures for paperwork "ASAP" on her end, but not when we needed critical updates. When our closing date was delayed to June 25, Rachel told us clearly that it wouldnt affect our move-in plans. Based on that, we scheduled time off work, carpet cleaning, appliance deliveries, and more for June 26aEUR"27. But she failed to understand how the delay affected the terms of the agreementaEUR"which gave the sellers seven days to move out after closingaEUR"and continued to mislead us day by day, saying things like aEURoemaybe tomorrowaEUR? or aEURoetheyre trying to hurry.aEUR? We only learned later that the sellers were never planning to move out before the contractual deadline of July 2. She blamed others (the HOA for delays, our lenders, or the sellers), rather than taking responsibility for her own misinformation. This caused serious disruption to our lives. We lived in a packed-up apartment for days, with all our belongingsaEUR"including our childrens toysaEUR"sealed away in boxes. We had to constantly unpack and repack things as we needed them throughout the week, in the hopes that we would get word from her that we could move in. Then we lived out of a moving truck for the last couple of days, expecting to move in each day based on Rachels vague updates. Eventually, we had to get a hotel room after driving to the house with the truck, only to find the sellers still occupying it. All of this stress was avoidable. Were sharing this alert Zillow that the agent assigned to us made a difficult life event even harder through poor communication, lack of accountability, and misleading guidance.

I use Zillow almost daily as a consumer Bankruptcy attorney. So when it came time to sell a mobile home that I had purchased for my mother-in-law, I looked to see what zillow offered. That is how I came to meet Kendra. At first I was a little skeptical because she traveled some distance from a different market, and I was concerned she may not be familiar with mobile home sales. She won me over, but the property needed some work before listing it. Following my instincts and Kendras advice, the home was made more presentable and it was listed. The listing included some photos with virtual decor that really made it look more appealing. Less than 5 days after the listing we received an offer a bit above our asking price, which turned out to be great because it covered some unexpected plumbing repairs. We enjoyed a trouble-free escrow and closed in less than a month. Kendra kept me apprised along the way so I could quickly deal with the small issues that arose. Alicia knows her stuff and I think having a background as an appraiser makes her even more of an asset to her clients. Alicia sold our home in a weekend! Kendra is a 10. Shes really funny, cute, and obviously loves her job. My wife and I used Kendra to buy our first house in August and she made it so easy a bonehead could buy a house. We got all kinds of badass warranties from her partners and a free moving truck from the Cory home teamaEUR| the lender she works with. So that helped move my small apartment and my wifes storage for zero cost. We received the best rate interest rate at the time. We bought the house for 15k under the asking price and I was a total pain the butt the whole time and she stuck with us. Like I said 10/10.

I am extremely happy that I reached to the Cory Team on Zillow last August of 2024. Richard Luizzi was my seller real estate agent in California. Sadly, my daughter and I lost my husband, her Dad whom I was married to for 29 years back in January of 2024. I was hesitant to sell our place since we had been there for over 25 years. This was a very difficult and emotional time in my life. As soon as I met Richard I knew we could work together on the selling my home. Richard helped me to understand how the Cory Team works to help sell homes such as mine in my area. The process of clearing out items from my home started out slowly but surely as this was one of the major steps in selling my home. By October of 2024 after sorting out items via some junk removal, an estate sale and some donations I was ready to move forward with putting my house on the market. Richard and Alexis Cassidy, another top Real Estate Agent with The Cory Home Team kept me updated on the steps and process of selling my home and property. I was able to reach out to them via email, text and phone calls and they were very easy to reach out to no matter what questions I happened to have. Alexis has been great through our lengthy escrow. We had to get a new 200 amp panel and heating units installed before the buyer would sign docs. She communicated with the buyers agent keeping them in the loop throughout the 3 month process. She had connections to electricians and heating installers that made the process as seamless as it could be. She is on top of everything with reminders, but not to the point of overwhelming us . Cory Hall was our realtor for the sale of my condo. There were a few twists and turns prior to the listing because the condo was deeded to my very ill husband and Cory was extremely patient and HELPFUL as we got the title and details in order. Cory went above and beyond for my family during the sell of their home. My aunt is elderly and recently had a stroke in the midst of the sale. Cory stayed patient and took the initiative to help save the sale while my aunt recovered. Thankfully my aunt was well enough to proceed with the sale and Cory took the time to community with her, though it was difficult to understand her. He genuinely cares about the well-being of his clients and is sensitive to their needs. Dante was very helpful in purchasing our home in San Marcos. He was always asking questions to make sure we find exactly what we were looking for and within our budget.
