Working with Carole was a great experience. Starting with my first phone call with her, to my last phone call. She was so nice and comfortable to talk too about my situation with selling my moms house that was in a trust. With her advice and knowledge throughout the process , she was there to answer all my questions and gave us much needed advice. We accepted a offer from a buyer after the house being on the market for only 10 days. She responded very quickly to any questions I had. Carole kept me up to date with any information I need to know about. We had a very short escrow and then it was done. Went very smoothly. I highly recommend Carole Downings. Carole is extremely personable and genuinely caring, while maintaining top professional behavior and expertise. My situation was very tricky to handle because I live 500 miles from the property I was selling, and never even took part personally (in person). Carole had to handle everything remotely. Also the house was being leased to an elderly couple who needed help relocating, which Carole did. I would recommend her to friends and family for sure. Carole is one of the best real estate agents we have worked with. My fiancee' and I have recently secured a home in the area while shopping from afar (we were based in Seattle and bought in SD). Carole is pleasant and fun to work with, highly knowledgable about the business, highly knowledgable about rules, price points, area trends, market values, and value propositions of each property we saw. She was also very easy to work with because she let us do the shopping and provided the right balance of guidance and "salesmanship" at each home visit-- meaning she would show us any property we wanted, but offered her own opinion on the pro's and con's of each property and what we should watch out for. She did this in a very respectful and patient manner that made us feel like she was on our team. She works tirelessly and is an excellent communicator, which is the most impressive part of what she brings to work every day. To be fair, we cannot comment too extensively on our experience with the negotiation process-- we ended up walking away from one home that had an obvious fatal flaw that arose from inspection, then ultimately bought new construction. However Carole was very clear on both processes and offered good comments on what it would take to secure the home(s) we wanted within our timeframes. When working with the builder, Carole asked good questions to the builder to ensure both she (and we) knew the process and what it would take to reach an agreement. Overall, top marks for Carole and if/when we have to go after another property in the area, she is definitely going to get a call from us.
