Working with William and Colton to sell my rental condo was an incredibly smooth and stress-free experience. If I could rate 10 stars on each other categories I would. I was a first time buyer and not only did Colton guide me to an accepted offer, but he and his team provided top of the line service. I do not write reviews since I generally receive good service wherever I go. However, I will write a review when someone either saves me money or makes me money. This is not my first rodeo acting in the capacity of a buyer/seller - I've been on both sides of the fence. Where I currently live (SF Bay area), homes sell quickly, preemptive offers are not uncommon so to even navigate in a hot housing market, you better put in the legwork and do some proper due diligence when selecting an agent; ask tough questions, watch out for red flags and practice a little practical intuition. Prior to calling Colton, I had weeded out 4 other agents in the OC area. Colton is fast. In today's age of technology, communication can occur immediately, and therefore response expectation time have accordingly shortened. Any agent who thinks they have the luxury of the standard response time of 24 to 48 hours should be weeded out. Colton also utilized the resources of the internet to get stuff done, I never once had to step foot into his office, to which I appreciate. We did everything using technology - face time to filter out properties, offers using email, text and DocuSign. Being an out-of-area buyer did not waste my time. I had 2 days, each to preview about 15-30 potential properties. Colton was prepared, he routed the most efficient route to each of the properties, had a property print out sheet for each property and paper and pen for note taking. When we did encounter roadblocks (from me eliminating handful of homes in certain zip codes), he was able to jump on the phone, call his office to harvest more listings, jump back on his phone to call the sellers agent to schedule same day appointments all done in a matter of minutes in his mobile office - his car. You (the buyer) make all the decisions working with Colton. In fact, in a couple homes we had previewed, Colton would point out certain flaws not to purchase particular homes, we even walked away from our first offer- how many agents do you know that would discourage you from buying a house? Remember, agents only get paid when the deal gets done and only then. For him to point out potential flaws in a property or to be your cheerleader when negotiations fall through the cracks speaks volumes for what type of realtor he is. He is not concerned about his payday, but rather, what home fits your need with what youre comfortable with paying. I've always believed in hiring the right person to get a job done - we cannot all be the jack of all trades. I come from a background in Investment Banking for extremely high net worth individuals and therefore, have extremely high standards when it comes to choosing people to work for me. I am not one to shy away if I need to micromanage a transaction or even have an uncomfortable conversation when I feel it's warranted. I'm first to admit that I can become difficult to work with but only with mediocre individuals - Colton never once disappointed me. I would encourage anyone looking to buy or sell to give him a call.
