We had an amazing experience with this realtor pair, and honestly don't have enough good things to say about them. They assisted us with our house sale. Let me start by saying that they have different levels of engagement, so if you want to use fewer services or more- you can choose from different options. We chose to use their full-service option to take the burden off our shoulders. To the point where you can even borrow money to cover the expenses to get the house ready for sale. This is really a nice option. Now, to more specific points. First of all, they are very organized and esthetic. Second of all, they managed the whole process for us even when we moved out of state. Third of all, they really took the worry out of the process. Last, they made our home look stunning by the end, thanks to cost-effective esthetic tips, their staging, and intelligent marketing strategies. My wife and I recently worked with Don Straub on our house hunt and he provided an exceptional experience. We met Don in August, and from the get go, he was professional and knowledgeable about the real estate market. He provided realistic guidance on what house was "achievable" in our price range and offered insight into buyer strategies to obtain the optimal price for our current home. We made offers on multiple homes and closed in early February. Although our road was long, Don was continuously checking in and sending listings he thought fit our preferences and price range. Don was incredibly thorough - he did independent inspections on properties we liked before we submitted bids and spent countless hours on the phone with us discussing pros and cons of the property. If sellers' disclosures contained structural repair estimates, Don called the estimators to conduct his own due diligence. He would evaluate if the estimators approach was sound and understand the criticality of repairs (e.g., foundation issues). He went above and beyond our expectations for a realtor. My wife and I had found an off-market home in Foster City. Our realtor, Don, reviewed the comps with us and helped us write a good offer which was accepted BELOW asking price (definitely hard in this low inventory sellers market). He made the house buying process very simple and we didnt run into any hiccups in closing escrow. Since we wanted to move in ASAP after closing but there were some things that needed to be changed (such as new carpeting), Don was very helpful in opening the house so that our contractors could come in and give us quotes/do measurements etc. This was very helpful so once we closed and had the keys, they could start work right away (important since there were supply chain issues due to Covid so we definitely wanted to get a jump on things). Don has a very personable and friendly demeanor. Since we closed escrow around Christmastime, he got us a housewarming little Christmas tree (like Charlie Brown) which our son absolutely loved. He also has checked in regularly throughout the year after we bought our place asking us how we were doing and bringing impromptu gifts (such as a large carving pumpkins just in time for Halloween). Would definitely recommend Don for your home search needs.
