We had the Doug West of the Doug West Group - First Team Real Estate sell our house last November and highly recommend Doug! We signed up with Doug and he went to work immediately giving us suggestions on showing our house. He also started getting pictures and videos taken right away and as a result we went on the market on Wednesday after Thanksgiving of last year. By the following Wednesday we were in Escrow! We did not think it was probable that we would sell our house between Thanksgiving and Christmas, but Doug proved us wrong! He came to the house a couple of times, gave us tips on staging, and then waited for us to make a decision as to where we were moving (finding a new home out of state). Doug was extremely helpful, low pressure, absolutely knows his market. We were able to get a little above our asking price. Doug and Samantha were ideal to work with. Absolutely no complaints. When it was time for me to sell my house due to a military transfer, I chose Doug because of his expertise in my neighborhood. As he not only sold a number of the houses there, but also lived there, I knew he would likely have the best understanding of how to market and sell my house for a fair price. He gave me excellent advice on the timing of my listing in order to best suit the needs of my family. His wife advised me on staging my house for the professional photographs, which turned out beautifully. You just can't argue with results; we received a full price offer within hours of the listing going active. The escrow and closing processes were painless, and Doug was always available to answer my questions. I doubt that my travels will take me back to the Oceanside area, but if they do I will without a doubt work with Doug again.

His knowledge of the local area was incredible. We started with a another Realtor and didn't feel like she knew the area very well and it showed. We decided to call Doug and he knew right away what we were up against pros and cons. He also knew who to contact to help with preparing our home for sale. A very big time saver and plus. He got our house ready as well as us and once the house was listed we accepted a deal 3 days later! Incredible!! Bottomline: We made quite a bit more money by going with Doug as well as time and I believe it was because of his local knowledge and not to mention is hardwork in researching the area that we wanted to move to. Doug was awesome! Me and my husband were first time home buyers with not a clue of how things worked. We went to open houses in the Arrowood area and found Doug going through one of the houses we saw. He was so knowledgeable about all of the houses we liked in that area when we first met with him. His assistants were super helpful and even brought us to see other houses they thought we might like. When we found our house Doug walked us through everything and told us what he thought was a good starting price to put an offer down on, we went with his judgement and were not disappointed! Doug got is $50,000 less than asking price and I don't think we would've asked that low of it wasn't for him! His escrow company was great and came to us with a mobile notary for all the signing. It took less than a week and we were in the house we've always wanted.
