Jill initially worked with me on the purchase of a home. I was very definite about the area I was interested in, and liked many of the homes in general. However, these were older homes that had been modified in a variety of ways, and I was having trouble making a decision. As soon as Jill recognized my problem, she began to impress on me that I needed to focus on what my requirements really were, in detail, so that I could take more of checklist approach. In addition to that, we had to factor in the cost of additional work in virtually every case. I had no experience with this kind of thing, and was impressed with Jill’s ability to discuss specifics right on the spot in most cases, or get answers very quickly from knowledgeable contacts. When we finally found a house that really worked for me, I was comfortable making an offer quickly and staying committed throughout the negotiation process. This wasn’t easy due to issues that kept coming up on the seller’s side, and it would have been easy to walk away if I hadn’t been able to make a firm decision upfront about my interest in the house. As for Jill, she had to deal with the seller’s issues too, and she did that very well. Jill subsequently worked with me on selling a home, while continuing to provide contractor recommendations and advice pertaining to my new home. On the selling side, she provided detailed advice concerning initial pricing and timing for price changes. She also provided detailed feedback obtained from buyers and agents, and addressed my questions and concerns quickly and thoroughly. Then, when repairs were required as a result of the inspection, she arranged for it to be done, and reported the results to me. Our Condo sold just 2 weeks after listing. Jill not only took some great photos but also staged the condo to show it at it's best, securing an acceptable offer. As we were not in the country Jill liased with the Home Warranty company on our behalf and made sure they could access the property to do any relevant inspections. She also kept us upto date by text, email and phone and even called to see us after arriving in the USA to sign relevant paperwork.
